The agreement illustrates the trends of voice taking its place as an equal among applications offered in UC portfolios and the overall movement of these platforms to the cloud. 
This is an exciting time for Avaya. In winning the auction of Nortel Enterprise Solutions, the company is adding about 6,000 employees, including 25 executives. The next half-year will be interesting and challenging, as the newly combined organization works through the integration.
